| ANC Centennial 2012 Celebrations |
The billboards were placed in honour of the ANC Centenary year in Serbian capital, Belgrade. The one portrays Nelson Mandela, who also happens to be an honorary citizen of Belgrade. The quote chosen for the billboard reads: 'Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.'
The second one’s contents are dedicated to the ANC jubilee.
The billboards have been placed prominently next to the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.
The project was done in coordination with the City of Belgrade – Secretariat for Culture.
Additionally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia had initiated a project in cooperation with the Postal Service of Serbia where postal stamps have been issued bearing the face of Nelson Mandela along with an accompanying envelope with text, in both English and Serbian, on the ANC.
H.E. Mr. Goran Vujičić, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of South Africa, will attend the ANC Centenary Celebrations in Bloemfontein from January 7th to January 8th, 2012.
